George has lived and worked from his home in Chester County, Pennsylvania for the past 30 years. He attended Temple University's Tyler School of Art from 1970-74 and then accepted the position as studio sculptor for the Edward Marshall Boehm Studios in Trenton, New Jersey. This started his long career in porcelain sculpture. George retired from the porcelain business in 2003 as the Senior Director of Sculpture for the Franklin Mint. Since 2004, he has pursued his passion for sculpture creating work in his own studio. Although he studied and produced work almost exclusively in high-fired porcelain and will always love the way white, translucent porcelain reflects light, particularly with portraits and the human form, he now feels that bronze is the perfect material for most of his current work. George is a member of the National Sculpture Society, the Society of Animal Artists and the Philadelphia Sketch Club. He has exhibited his award-winning pieces in shows across the United States and abroad.
