Continue ShoppingAl earned B.S. and M.S. degrees in Forestry and later received a National Fellowship for doctorate work. He became a forestry educator and taught post-secondary education. For more than forty years, Al has been a full-time artist who specializes in smaller-sized paintings. Since 2007, Al continuously exhibits at The Maritime Gallery at Mystic Seaport in Connecticut, where he participates in the International Modern Marine Masters Invitational and the annual Plein Air Painters Exhibit. He has been a continuous exhibitor at the prestigious Easton Waterfowl Festival from its inception in 1970 and is a participant and prizewinner in Plein Air and Invitational competitions in the Eastern United States. His paintings have been purchased by major museums, and private collectors throughout the United States. Al is a member the Whiskey Painters of America, Artists Fellowship of New York City, the prestigious Salmagundi Club in New York City, and listed in Who's Who in American Art.
