Darby O'Grady

Painting with acrylics and oils, Darby’s work contrasts bright colors with a still composition to create a serene utopia for the viewer. The paintings’ compositions are inspired by a combination of her travels and her imagination. The end result produces a dreamlike work that evokes senses of familiarity and nostalgia. Darby is originally from Wayne, PA and is currently based in New York City, NY. Her passion for drawing began from the moment she first learned to hold a pencil as a child. She was self-taught until she took her first painting class as a sophomore in college.
