Born and raised in Fredonia, KS, John received his BFA in Ceramics from Emporia State University. He taught High School art and ceramics for over 20 years, then in 2008, John made the decision to pursue his life-long dream of becoming a full-time studio potter. John draws his inspiration from nature. He uses rich colors blended into ageless patterns. Warm earth tones fuse with dark contrasts, all captured in masterfully shaped and glazed, one of a kind works of art. He teaches ceramics at the Wayne Art Center and has a studio at home in Aston. He is an active member of the PA Guild of Craftsmen and does many craft shows in the Tri-State area.
