Stephen Brehm

Born in France and raised in a military family, Stephen found himself immersed in amazing locations including, Germany, Puerto Rico, Florida and Northern California. While living and exploring those locales he acquired a great love of Mother Nature, and found an inspirational setting is paramount in his painting process. Capturing light and the vibration between two colors while building the painting surface with loose, direct, and vibrant brushwork is his goal.  Depicting a gesture or object with as few strokes as needed is what Stephen seeks, and there is something about this simplicity and the look of fresh wet paint that moves his artist soul. Stephen holds a bachelor’s degree in Fine Art from Millersville University. He was featured in Philadelphia Style Magazine and has received numerous honors for his talents. His paintings reside in homes and businesses from California, Florida, and throughout the northeast and Europe. Stephen exhibits extensively at outdoor art shows up and down the east coast as well as the mid-south. He has also had solo and group exhibitions in galleries in DE and PA.
